Everything you need to know before your flight to paradise
Fiji is easily accessible from major international hubs and is serviced by several airlines that operate regular direct flights. The main international gateway is Nadi International Airport (NAN), located on the western side of Viti Levu — Fiji’s largest island. This is where most international visitors arrive, and it’s just minutes away from many popular resorts and tour pickup points.
Major airlines flying to Fiji include:
Fiji Airways (national carrier)
Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar (from Australia)
Air New Zealand (from Auckland)
Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines (from the U.S.)
Korean Air and Singapore Airlines (via Asia connections)
Here are some of the cities with direct flights to Fiji (subject to seasonal schedules):
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane – ~4–5 hours
Auckland, Christchurch – ~3 hours
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu – ~9–11 hours
Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul – ~9–10 hours
We recommend checking with your airline or travel agent for the latest schedules and promotions.
Visitors from most countries (including Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., U.K., and most EU countries) do not require a visa for stays of up to 4 months. You’ll just need:
A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity)
A return or onward travel ticket
Proof of sufficient funds for your stay
Always double-check entry requirements with the Fiji Immigration Department or your local Fijian embassy, especially if you’re traveling on a non-standard passport.
Once you land in Fiji, you’ll find that getting around is easy — whether you’re heading to your resort, exploring a nearby town, or island-hopping.
From Nadi International Airport:
Airport Transfers: Most resorts offer pre-arranged transfers — look out for your name at arrival.
Taxis: Readily available and affordable. Always confirm the fare before departure.

Ferries & Catamarans serve the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands daily from Port Denarau.

We recommend planning at least a few days in the islands for the full Fiji experience.

Weather: Tropical year-round – best travel months are May to October
Travel Insurance: Highly recommended for peace of mind
