Protect your trip — and your peace of mind.
While Fiji is known for its warm hospitality, laid-back vibe, and picture-perfect scenery, unexpected events can still happen — from cancelled flights and medical emergencies to lost luggage or weather-related changes.
That’s why we strongly recommend that all our guests take out comprehensive travel insurance before traveling to Fiji.
When choosing a policy, make sure it includes coverage for:
Trip cancellation or interruption
Illness, emergencies, or delays that prevent or cut short your trip.
Medical expenses
Hospital visits, doctor consultations, or emergency evacuation (especially important for outer islands).
Lost or delayed baggage
Compensation for lost, stolen, or damaged items while in transit.
Travel delays or missed connections
Coverage for accommodation or meals if your flights are delayed.
Adventure activity coverage
If you plan to go diving, ziplining, surfing, or engage in other outdoor activities, make sure they’re included.
Natural disasters or weather disruptions
Fiji has a tropical climate and experiences occasional cyclones, especially between November and April.
Fiji has both public and private medical facilities. While care is available, remote island resorts may not have immediate access to doctors or pharmacies.
Medical evacuations (especially by air) can be expensive and are typically not covered without insurance.
Many of our tours and island transfers are weather-dependent. While we will offer rescheduling or refunds for any tour we cancel, we are not responsible for other costs you may incur (e.g. hotel changes, flight changes, etc.) — that’s where good insurance helps.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance in your country of residence before you depart. Some popular providers include:
Australia & NZ: Cover-More, Southern Cross, Allianz
USA & Canada: World Nomads, Travel Guard, Allianz Global
UK & Europe: AXA, Aviva, InsureandGo
Check policy fine print and ensure it covers international travel to Fiji, not just domestic trips.
We’re not an insurance provider, but we’re happy to answer questions or help guide you based on what’s typical for travelers to Fiji. Just [contact us] or ask during the booking process — we want your trip to be smooth from start to finish.
Always carry a copy of your policy number and emergency contact information — either printed or stored on your phone.
Fiji is a safe and welcoming destination, but a little planning goes a long way. Travel insurance gives you the freedom to fully enjoy your holiday, knowing you’re protected if something doesn’t go to plan.
