Why go
Wailoaloa Beach, also called New Town Beach, runs along the coast close to Nadi town. It’s lined with casual resorts and backpacker hostels, including Smugglers Cove and Bamboo Backpackers, and the west-facing beach is a lovely spot to watch the sun go down.
Being so close to the airport, it works well for your first or last night in Fiji, and it’s an easy base for day trips. Our tours pick up from Nadi hotels, and island boats leave from nearby Port Denarau.
