Best Fiji resorts for families, 2026–27

Fiji is one of the easiest family holidays in the Pacific: warm water, short transfers and resorts that genuinely love kids. Here are the resorts our team recommends most often to families, and why.

Mainland: easy and great value

Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Coral Coast

A long reef lagoon, big pools and a kids club. It is about an hour and a quarter from Nadi Airport by road, with no boat needed. A favourite for first-time family trips. See our Coral Coast Escape package.

Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Coral Coast

A resort on its own island joined to the mainland by a bridge, so you can walk everywhere. It has lots of space for kids to run around and plenty of activities.

Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, Denarau

Close to the airport and Port Denarau, so it is ideal for short stays or for families who want day trips to the islands. See our Denarau Beach Break package.

Tanoa International, Nadi

A budget-friendly first or last night near the airport. Breakfast covers 2 adults and 2 children, and airport transfers are free.

Islands: the full Fiji dream

Malolo Island Resort, Mamanucas

Two pools, a sandy beach and a kids club, about 50 minutes by boat from Port Denarau. Look out for its stay 7 pay 6 offers. See our Malolo Island Family package.

Plantation Island Resort, Mamanucas

A long white beach, a relaxed vibe and good value for an island resort. It pairs well with a couple of nights in Nadi in our Island + Mainland Combo.

Castaway Island, Mamanucas

A classic Fijian bure-style island resort with a kids club, snorkelling right off the beach and plenty of water sports.

Family tips from our team

• Island or mainland? With toddlers, the mainland is easier. With kids aged 5 and over, the islands are unforgettable.
• Ask about meal plans. On the islands they often save money.
• Infants under 2 travel free on most boats. Island fuel levies are paid at check-in.
• Great family day trips: South Sea Island, the Sabeto mud pools and the zip line for older kids.
