Nadi Airport to Denarau: how to get there
Denarau Island is where most of Fiji’s big resorts sit, along with Port Denarau marina, where the island boats leave from. It is a short drive from Nadi International Airport. Here are your options, with prices.
How long does it take?
Allow about 20–30 minutes by road, depending on traffic through Nadi town. Denarau is joined to the mainland by a causeway, so there is no boat involved.
Your options
| Option | Price | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Private car with our own driver (1–2 people) | FJ$45 one way | Couples and solo travellers. Meet-and-greet at arrivals. |
| Private car, SUV or van (3–13 people) | from FJ$82.50 one way | Families and groups with luggage |
| Coach (22–49 seats) | Quoted on request | Weddings, sports teams and conferences |
| Airport taxi | Agree the fare before you get in | Last-minute travellers |
| Local bus | Cheapest | Light luggage only. Change in Nadi town. |
Our prices are per vehicle, in Fijian dollars. Child seats are FJ$13.20. Add an airport welcome with cold water and a shell lei for FJ$15.40 per person.
Why pre-book?
- Your driver tracks your flight and waits if it is late, which matters with the many early-morning arrivals.
- You get a fixed price agreed before you fly.
- One WhatsApp message can sort your transfer, your day tours and your boat to the islands.
Going on to the islands?
Most Mamanuca and Yasawa boats leave from Port Denarau. We can take you straight from the airport to the marina, or you can fly by helicopter or seaplane direct to many island resorts.
