How to get to the Yasawa Islands
The Yasawas are a chain of volcanic islands north of the Mamanucas, with quiet beaches, village visits and great snorkelling. Getting there is part of the adventure.
By catamaran (most people)
The Yasawa Flyer catamaran leaves Port Denarau each morning and stops at the island resorts on the way up the chain. The trip takes from about two to five hours, depending on how far north you are going. Resorts send small boats out to meet the catamaran.
| Resort | Transfer from |
|---|---|
| Barefoot Kuata Island | FJ$196 one way |
| Waya Island Resort / Octopus Resort | FJ$202 one way |
| Paradise Cove / Mantaray Island | FJ$210 one way |
| Blue Lagoon / Nanuya Island | FJ$231 one way |
Lowest price per adult for the catamaran. Children are cheaper. See each island page for every option.
Getting to Port Denarau
If you land in the morning, you may have time to go straight from the airport to the catamaran; if not, stay a night in Nadi or Denarau first. Our airport to Denarau transfer starts from FJ$45.
By seaplane or helicopter
Some resorts, especially in the northern Yasawas, can be reached by seaplane or helicopter from Nadi Airport. It is much faster and the views are incredible, but it costs more. Ask us for a quote for your group.
Just want to see the Yasawas?
The Yasawa Islands Explorer cruise (from FJ$250) is a full day on board up the island chain and back, with no overnight stay needed.
Our local team in Nadi confirms everything with the hotels and operators before you pay.
